Requirements

All Technicians must be able to clearly demonstrate their physical and mental ability to perform services as well as detailed minor repairs. They must conduct every aspect of their job in an ethical manner. They must have the ability to explain the work needed to the service advisor/manager and to work well under pressure.

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Drug free and clean background check.
  • Keep shop equipment clean and in good working condition.
  • Clean tools, toolbox and bay(s).
  • Assist other technicians as needed.
  • Courtesy checks/inspections.
  • Communicate with service advisor/manager pertaining to assigned repair order status.
  • Able to diagnose, inspect, repair, service and/or overhaul vehicle problems and maintenance.
  • Must commit to continuously educate themselves through industry-recognized classes, seminars, and tests in order to keep up with changes in the industry and new vehicles.
  • Communicate with service advisors while the vehicle is here, and status update.
  • Provide a complete and accurate technician’s inspection or notes on concern, write clear stories.
  • Research vehicle history for needed service maintenance items still outstanding, advising the customers of what is still needed to maintain the health of their vehicle.
  • All diagnostic procedures, findings, recommendations, parts and services performed will be properly noted and documented.
  • Attend shop meetings as required.
  • Review goals with supervisor/owner as set forth in the performance reviews.
