We are your alternative to the dealership and the big branded automotive repair companies. We are Ford Factory Master Trained, ASE Master Certified and have graduated The Automotive Technology Program from Universal Technical Institute (Top in class). We strive to have higher quality repairs, diagnostics and customer service than even the leading local dealerships. We perform all factory maintenance without affecting factory warranties and can perform many repairs with the same factory equipment that the dealers use.
We’ve seen the disconnect between the dealership and their customers. We see the way the drivers of St. Petersburg have been treated like numbers instead of neighbors. We want to change that. You deserve excellence you can trust.

Our Strengths come from extensive training and experience. We have years of Ford dealer service experience and thousands of classroom training hours. We hold over 200 certifications, more than a third are in electrical diagnostics and repair.

Hello, My name is Shawn.
I am the owner of The Burg Automotive.
There was a time when I didn’t know how to repair cars, and I also had to find an auto repair shop. It was tough. I didn’t want to go to the dealership because I knew that the prices there were very high. And most local shops just didn’t look that inviting.
When I finally found a shop, I paid for many repairs that were simply not needed. This led to many trips to and from the shop and a lot of time without a vehicle. The people there were not knowledgeable nor were they very friendly. But I felt like I had to stay with them because I didn’t want to start over with a new shop. Later in life, now educated about auto repair, I know that the issue I was having with the vehicle was quite simple to figure out if the proper diagnostic steps were taken.
I have had family members go in for an oil change and come out with a $700 bill, having no idea what they paid for.
People tell me that they feel like their mechanics are dishonest with them and talk down to them.
People tell me that they don’t want to go to the dealer, but they think that a dealership is the only place that can perform a quality repair.
I have heard similar stories over and over again. These stories are my motivation to give this community a trusted auto repair shop. A quality repair has nothing to do with the place you take your vehicle. It has everything to do with the people that are performing the repair. It’s about how much the technicians care about getting it right. And we care about that a great deal.
There is no law that states an automotive technician needs to be trained or certified to work on your vehicle. This is also true within new car dealerships. We have gone out of our way to make sure that all technicians are ASE certified and at least one ASE Master Certified technician is always on duty. We will take every step possible to insure proper diagnosis and a quality repair of your vehicle.
Our customer service will be the best you have ever experienced. We want to be able to not only show our customers the failed parts but educate them on how it should properly function. We want to spend the extra time with our customers to make them feel comfortable with their choice to use us, not just tell them they owe money for a part that they have never heard of. We truly believe that we can raise the bar and give this industry a new name!
